PN73402: PORTMAP ABENDU4038 WHEN TCP/IP IS CANCELLED

APAR status

• Closed as duplicate of another APAR.

Error description

• ABENDU4038 is issued by PORTMAP when an IUCV SEVER has
  failed during termination.  The following messages are issued:

  EZY4149E LAST IUCV CALL (SEVER) RETURNED 1001 INVALID PATH-ID
  EZA4253E SVC_RUN RETURNED UNEXPECTEDLY
  EDC6006E The raise() function was issued for the signal SIGABRT.
           From entry point main at compile unit offset +00000328
           at addr 0003D758.
  .
     TCP/IP had severed the path as indicated by the KILL -38, and
  PORTMAP is also in the process of doing a SEVER.  The PORTMAP
  SEVER fails with the RC=1001 because the path has already been
  severed by TCP/IP.  This results in SIGABRT being raised due to
  the unexpected failure of the IUCV call (SEVER).
