• This APAR enables the following utility and function:
  1. DB Sensor in IBM Database Solution Pack for z/OS, V2.1
     (5655-DSP)
  2. Conditional Reorg function of the Smart Reorg utility with
     NAMESWAP=NO control statement.

  1. This APAR is required to run the DB Sensor of IBM Database
  Solution Pack for z/OS, V2.1 (5655-DSP).
  DB Sensor is enhanced to print the new version and release in
  the reports.
  
  2. This APAR enables the Smart Reorg utility to support the
  following functions even when automatic post-reorganization
  processing is not requested:
  - to store reports in the the Output repository of IMS Tools KB
  - to perform Conditional Reorganization
  
  That is, the following combinations of control statements are
  allowed.
   NAMESWAP=NO and ITKBSRVR=xxxxxxxxx
    The reports showing statistics for the reorganized database
    before name swapping are stored in the the Output repository
    of IMS Tools KB.
    Before applying this APAR, MSGHPSG2202W was issued and the
    reports were not stored.
     HPSG2202W OUTPUT REPOSITORY PROCESSING IS CANCELED
  
   NAMESWAP=NO and CONDREORG=YES
    The Conditional Reorganization Support Service (CRSS)
    evaluates the reorganized database before name swapping in
    the second evaluation phase.
    Before applying this APAR, the job ended with MSGHPSG2320E
    and RC=08.
     HPSG2320E CONDITIONAL REORG SERVICE IS DEACTIVATED DUE TO
               NAMESWAP=NO

    When the reorganization process ends and the database
    reorganization is committed, the CRSS collects some additional
    statistics data about the reorganized database, and commits
    all statistics data that it collected during the reload
    process  and after reorganization.

  | the CRSS collects  the database statistics from the shadow
  | data sets.
    Then, the CRSS evaluates the data by using the same policy
