APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • IMS PI uses internal indexes to assist in locating records, as
the number of records processed increases IMS PI may make
indexes "dormant" if they do not reference required records.
As the Tracking process in IMS PI is iterative and cumulative
it may be that required records are in indexes that have been
made dormant, and are consequently not returned.

Additional problem addressed in this APAR:
Running IMS PI under z/OS 2.1, use of TX or TU commands to
follow a transaction causes the PI session to terminate. A
workaround is to use the PF4 function first.
