The APAR adds detailed report for messages that have been
recovered and messages that can not be recovered . Only the
OUWs of the not recovered messages are known-only timestamps
of the not recovered messages are printed in the report.
IQCCANC1 routine is invoked after a recoveras IQCSELCT.
Its function is to eliminate messages which were processed ,
and extract only those messages which have been not processed.

     Files for IQCSELC1:
         Input File -
              (1) CANCLINF -sorted output from select routine.
                            with formated records, created from
                            x'4040', x'3F' and x'67nn' log
                            records. Sort is by UOWs.
              (2) CANCLIN - contains all x'01' and x'03' messages
                            after theselected check point
with QCF prefix in fron of the message.
                            Sort is by UOW.

         Output Files -
              (1) CANCLOUT - Input for the LOAD Routine, contains
only the messages that have not been
on SQ at time of IMS system failure.
              (2) CANCNOFO - contains all CANCLINF records,that
have not been found in CANCLIN
(no message record found for a record
                             CANCLINF).
              (3) SYSPRINT - Messages and run statistics.
              (4) SCRAPCAN - All records scrapped by this routine.
                             SCRAPCAN is optional.
Only the UOWs of the not found messages are known - so the
new report contains only the timestamps of such messages.
The timestamps can be used to set the starting checkpoint
for IQCSELCT step in the procedure. If the missing messages
are from earlier time then the found messages- an earlier
    checkpoint can be selected.
New error message has been added - IQC1104E.
Sample of the report with the error message:

Messages not found on log: 4
                   ---------------------------------------------
                   - Timestamp of msg: D=2013.350,T=23:17:53.421
                   - Timestamp of msg: D=2013.350,T=23:17:53.425
                   - Timestamp of msg: D=2013.350,T=23:17:53.428
                   - Timestamp of msg: D=2013.350,T=23:17:53.493
                      ---------------------------------------------
                 IQC1104E Messages lost-check the timestamps

Problem conclusion

  • Install the APAR to have the detailed report.
