Error description

  • Near Term History sequential file not freed when NTH is stopped

Near term history (NTH) data can be recorded to a sequential
file when WRITEOPTION has the SEQ option specified.
The sequential file should be closed and deallocated when
NTH is stopped. The sequential file remains allocated even
though it is closed when NTH is stopped.

    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
If the NTH collector is configured to use
WRITEOPTION(VSAM,SEQ) and the NTH collector is stopped by
operator command, the sequential file should be de-allocated.

    PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
Add explicit de-allocation for any SEQ file which is still
    allocated after use.
