Error description

  • Running mixed V510 and V511 OMPE collectors on the same LPAR
    can result in message KO2Z001I displaying the same
    subsystem id

    STC19571  KO2Z001I  OMDE V510 Subsystem initialization in
    progress
    STC17011  KO2Z001I  OMDE V511 Subsystem initialization in
    progress

    The subsystem id is passed as a parm on the EXEC PGM= statement
    XXO2CI     EXEC PGM=KO2ZTOPB,REGION=0M,
    XX         PARM='/SUB=OMDE',DPRTY=(15,15),TIME=1440

    When the full subsystem id is passed on the parm, internally the
    second character of the sybsystem id is changed to a 5 for
    V510. In this case OMDE becomes O5DE.

    Issue a D SSI,SUB=O* to see the active subsystems.
    For a V510 subsystem it will display as
    SUBSYS=O5DE
       DYNAMIC=YES     STATUS=ACTIVE       COMMANDS=ACCEPT
    For a V511 subsystem it will display as
    SUBSYS=OMDE
       DYNAMIC=YES     STATUS=ACTIVE       COMMANDS=ACCEPT
    Additional Keywords
    IEFSSI

Local fix

  • Use a different subsystem id in the /SUB= parm that begins with
    OM
    XXO2CI     EXEC PGM=KO2ZTOPB,REGION=0M,
    XX         PARM='/SUB=OMPE',DPRTY=(15,15),TIME=1440
