Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All IMS V13 users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR adds code to support the * * IMS Database Value Unit Edition (VUE) * * product. * * * * CSLDPL10 does not check to make sure * * the DOM token is non-zero before * * attempting to DOM the CSL0003A * * message. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: INSTALL CORRECTIVE SERVICE FOR APAR/PTF * **************************************************************** This APAR adds code to support the IMS Database Value Unit Edition (VUE) product. While testing this APAR it was noticed that the new CSL0012I message did not always appear on the z/OS console. It always appeared in the joblog and the syslog, but not on the console. If the ODBM address space was started before SCI, then both the CSL0012I message and the CSL0003A message appeared on the console. If the ODBM address space was started after SCI then neither the CSL0012I nor the CSL0003A message were issued. The CSL0012I message should have been issued in this case. It turns out that CSLDPL10 was always trying to DOM the CSL0003A message, even when it was not issued. This was causing the CSL0012I message to be DOMed when it should not have been, which resulted in the message not being displayed on the console.
