Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of the DB2 Administration Tool for * * z/OS that call nested stored procedures * * or user-defined functions, and wish to * * specify the correct WLM environment in * * which those routines are run. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: There is a WLM_ENV_FOR_NESTED column * * in the SYSIBM.SYSROUTINES tables that * * indicates whether the address space * * of the calling stored procedure or * * user-defined function is used to run * * the nested stored procedure or user- * * defined function. Currently, DB2 * * Admin does not provide the support * * to display the WLM_ENV_FOR_NESTED * * column on CREATE/ALTER procedures * * panels ADB26COV 'Create Stored * * Procedure Options' and ADBP7O * * 'Redefine Procedure'. As a result, * * the value of this column is ignored * * and the user can not specify or alter * * the correct WLM environment. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** A new field 'WLM ENV FOR NESTED' is added on the ADB26COV and ADBP7O panels, which will reflect the corresponding column value of the SYSIBM.SYSROUTINES table. Depending on whether its value is changed to YES/NO, non-nested (eg. "DSNAWLRP" for WLM Environment) or nested eg. "(DSNAWLRP,*)" is used in the CREATE/ALTER statement. In the nested scenario, the WLM ENV FOR NESTED field will have value 'YES' (otherwise 'NO').
