    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
When the IMS Bridge facility is disabled within the queue
manager ( SUSPEND QMGR FACILITY(IMSBRIDGE) ), if messages are
subsequently put to a shared queue associated with the IMS
Bridge, any MQGET calls on that queue will return MQRC 2033
(MQRC_NO_MSG_AVAILABLE) while the bridge is suspended. If the
IMS Bridge is resumed ( RESUME QMGR FACILITY(IMSBRIDGE) ),
the bridge successfully gets the messages off the queue.

This is due to the MQGET processing believing list-transitions
are in progress, as the IMS BRIDGE suspend processing does not
clear a flag showing list-transitions are taking place. This
results in the MQGET not correctly determining that the shared
queue has messages, resulting in the MQGET failing MQRC 2033.

Problem conclusion

  • The suspend state of the IMS Bridge has been altered to
correctly set the flag, allowing the MQGET to correctly identify
if list transitions are taking place. This results in the MQGET
processing to correctly determine that messages are on the queue
, allowing the MQGET to succeed in this scenario.
