Error description
There are close to 5000 idle connections being made between the DB2 content store and Cognos 10.2. This is causing the DB2 process to exhaust the memory on the machine (8.00 GB of ram) to the point where they must restart the server. For example, during a conference call, DB2 was using 4.5 GB's and was steadily climbing while Cognos was using around 700 MB - 800 MB. This only occurs when Cognos is running. We attempted to use the advanced parameter "CM.DbConnectPoolMax" to limit the number of connections but it had no effect.
