Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM IMS High Performance Unload *
    *                 for z/OS Version 1 Release 2 (FMID=H1IN120). *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Segment number mismatch occurs when *
    * using IPR Unload Type-B user exit. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
This APAR provides the fix for following issues about IPR Unload
    Type-B user exit:
    - HP Unload sets incorrect segment counts in the trailer record
and reports incorrect deleted segment numbers when using IPR
Unload Type-B user exit and the size of work area in the exit
is larger than the maximum segment length. Other symptom is
possible depending on which area is following the work area.
    - ABEND0C6 when the return code of IPR Unload Type-B user exit
      is other than 0, 4, 8, or 12.

Problem conclusion

  • - HP Unload has been modified to obtain a little larger size of
work area for the maximum segment length and to ABENDU3630 if
      the size is insufficient.
If you encounter ABENDU3630, modify the size of work area
that is defined in the Type-B user exit to reflect the maximum
segment length. The size should be the same as the maximum
segment length or a little larger.
    - HP Unload has been modified to issue HPSU3260E when the return
code of IPR Unload Type-B user exit is other than 0, 4, 8, or
      12.
