    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Deletion of a CFSTRUCT may fail with *
    *                      message CSQM101I for CFSTRUCT is        *
    * currently in use when all shared *
    * objects on the queue have been deleted. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    THe CFSTRUCT will remain on the queue manager when the delete
    command is issued and fails returning message CSQM101I. The
    CFSTRUCT is believed to be in use due to a bit set for the
    CFSTRUCT in the DB2 table for the structures. This bit may be
    set incorrectly when a delete for a shared queue occurs at the
    same time as the status for the CFSTRUCT is updated. The status
    processing sets the bit back on, after being turned off by the
    delete processing, in some timing windows. This results in the
    CFSTRUCT delete processing assuming a shared queue is still
    defined for the CFSTRUCT.

Problem conclusion

  • The deletion of shared queue's has been updated to update the
    version count of the updated CFSTRUCT row, to ensure other
    processing will not incorrectly overwrite the updated values.
