Error description

  • Default values may be displayed incorrectly when inserting table
with default value set on column.

An SQLCODE181 can also occur when saving table data when columns
with default values are omitted .

    ADDITIONAL SYMPTOMS
Cannot Insert new row in v4.4
User report several tables cannot insert a new column.
    Not all tables however.

Local fix

  • The Workaround, in these cases, is to either correct the default
value ETI generated (in the case of the problem where it is one
byte off), or to not exclude those columns with default that
would result in the negative sqlcode.
