Error description
When using the Download chart option available for charts/dashboards from within a portal page, Cognos 10.2 informs that a .xlsx will be downloaded when in fact the file created is an .png ( image ). ??When user chooses "open" the file, Excel will throw an error message: Excel cannot open the file filename.xlsx because the file format or file extension is not valid. Verify that the file has now been corrupted and that the file extension matches the format of the file.??Workaround: Use "save" option then rename the file xlsx file downloaded to .png. file will be successfully opened.
