PM88423: INCORRECT OUTPUT GENERATED INVOLVING TABLE WITH COLUMN DEFINED WITH FIELDPROC CLAUSE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Incorrect output is generated involving a table having a column
  defined with a field procedure (FIELDPROC clause). This occurs
  whenever the field procedure returns an error. For the rows in
  error,  the content of column associated to the field procedure
  is evaluated as binary zeroes leading to incorrect field in the
  output data.
  
  For a physical unload (UNLDDN), the output field for the column
  with FIELDPROC contains binary zeroes.
  
  For a logical unload (SELECT and OUTDDN),  the output field
  content for the expression involving the column with FIELDPROC
  is wrong (it contains either binary zeroes if the expression is
  the column itself of the result of the expression evaluated as
  if the content of the column was binary zeroes).

Local fix

• run the unload in SQL mode by using the HPU DB2 FORCE option.
