APAR status

Error description

  • When using the IBM Rational ClearCase ClearTeam Explorer (CTE)
    interface and any other ClearCase user interface (Command line,
    ClearCase Explorer, etc) in a given dynamic view at the same
    time, checkout comments changed in CTE may not be reflected in
    the other interfaces.
    
    Additionally, checkout comment changes made in the other
    interfaces -- most notably ClearCase Explorer will not be
    visible in ClearTeam Explorer. This lack may persist even though
    you restart the application.
    
    At this time, there is no known workaround. It is best to avoid
    making changes to checkout comments at the same time using
    cleartool chevent, ClearCase Explorer and ClearTeam Explorer.

    when the version is checked in.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed in ClearCase 8.0.0.9 and 8.0.1.2.
