APAR status

Error description

  • Connect:Direct for z/OS hung during Stats Stress due to a lock
embrace involving the following locks -

STLKWRDA, STWTORLK, STRESSLK, STFQGONE, PRPCQLKW

DMSTATWR was attempting to queue up a WTO stat record for
message STAA010I when the NO MORE FREE stat queue elements
condition was encountered.

Local fix

  • STRRTC - 372807
RS / RS

Circumvention:
Increase the number of STAT.QUEUE.ELEMENTS in order to prevent
Stats stress from occurring.
