Error description

  • ARYX062E--A socket error occurred when multicast is enabled.

To allow the agent to discover an appropriately configured
server, the server-address parameter can be blanked out or
removed. This causes the agent to listen for broadcast
    announcements from the server.
Currently this can cause the agent to shut down with RC = 12 and
    the following errors:

ARYX062E--A socket error occurred on "setsockopt(...,
    IP_ADD_MEMBERSHIP, ...)": EDC8109I Protocol not available.

Code was modified to use the correct protocol when setting up
    multicast.

Local fix

  • Disable multicast
