Java 7 will issue a SocketException when executing com/ibm/net/SocketUtils.configureKeepAlive The problem has been experienced when testing with the DB2 JDBC driver.
Local fix
use java6 instead of java7 If the DB2 operation supports the use of Java7 64bit, Java7 64bit can be used as a workaround. Only 31bit Java7 is affected.
