    ****************************************************************
The CICS Configuration Manager ISPF dialog uses keylists to
assign commands to function keys. If you disable keylists,
you lose the convenience of these application-specific
    function key assignments.
The User's Guide does not mention that the ISPF dialog uses
    keylists.
The CICS Configuration Manager sample CCVDEFLT contains a REXX
procedure that may be used to initialize or override user ISPF
variables and settings. This sample does not show how to
forcibly enable ISPF keylists for the CICS Configuration
    Manager ISPF application.

Problem conclusion

  • The CICS Configuration Manager User's Guide GC34-2899-01 has
has been changed to indicate that the ISPF dialog uses keylists.

The SCCVSAMP sample member CCVDEFLT is enhanced to include a
section to forcibly enable ISPF keylist processing for the
CICS Configuration Manager ISPF application. The sample code
is provided as comments, and the comment markers must be
    removed to enact the code.

The CICS Configuration Manager User's Guide V5R1M0
(GC34-2899-01) has been changed as follows:
    1. Chapter 2: Installation and customisation
Topic: Start the ISPF dialog interface

    .--------------------------------------------------------------.
    | The CICS Configuration Manager ISPF dialog uses keylists to |
    | assign commands to function keys. For information about |
    | keylist processing see "Keylists" in "Chapter 5: Overview of |
    | the ISPF dialog". |
    '--------------------------------------------------------------'

    2. Chapter 5: Overview of the ISPF dialog
       Topic: ISPF dialog features
       Subtopic: ISPF keylists
The CICS Configuration Manager ISPF dialog uses keylists to
assign commands to function keys suited to the panel operation.
For example, key F1 is the HELP command; F7 and F8 scroll the
panel UP and DOWN; and on some panels F10 and F11 scroll the
panel left and right using the PREV and NEXT commands.

If the user runs with keylists disabled, or if the user
overrides the function key settings, then the commands issued
via the function keys may not reflect the original values
assigned by the CICS Configuration Manager supplied keylists.
The ISPF command KEYLIST ON|OFF may be used to enable or disable
keylists within the currently active ISPF application.
Therefore, a user may set KEYLIST ON within the CICS
Configuration Manager ISPF dialog, whilst running with keylists
    disabled in other applications.

CICS Configuration Manager will operate without keylists
activated; however the convenience of the pre-set function keys
may be lost. In this case, the desired commands like HELP, PREV,
NEXT, and so on may be entered in the command line area for
processing. When entering the commands PROMPT and ZOOM in this
manner, the cursor must positioned onto the desired field prior
to processing the command via the enter key. The PFSHOW ON|OFF
command may be used to display or hide the current function key
settings at the bottom of the panel.

User changes to the CICS Configuration Manager keylists and
function key settings are saved in the user's TSO/ISPF profile
data set in the member CCVOPROF, where CCVO is the NEWAPPL ISPF
application assigned by the REXX procedure CCVOREXX during the
dialog start up. User changes to the CICS Configuration Manager
keylists may be deleted by using the D (delete) action in the
display presented by the KEYLIST primary command when processed
from within the CICS Configuration manager dialog. Deleting the
members prefixed by CCVO in the TSO/ISPF profile data set will
result in the removal of all previously saved ISPF settings and
variables for the user's CICS Configuration Manager ISPF
session. In this case, the next use of the ISPF dialog mimics
that of a first time user, where no previously saved settings
    or variable values exist.

The SCCVSAMP sample CCVDEFLT contains a REXX procedure that may
be used to initialize or override user ISPF variables and
settings. This sample contains code illustrating how to
    forcibly enable keylist processing.
