Error description

  • When using the IBM Rational ClearCase (CC) Unified Change
Management (UCM) / ClearQuest (CQ) integration, established over
OSLC (not Classic SQUID); when the CQ integrated record type
name uses Korean (and possibly double-byte character sets),
(works with English CQ record type name), a blocking error will
occur when attempting to set or change activities from the CC
    Explorer or the ClearTeamExplorer (CTE):

'The ClearQuest record, 'DB00000001', was not found.

    Test environments:
    Set 1) CC/CQ 8005 VOB?DB + UCM Integration over OSLC + Default
    English CQ Schema
    Set 2) CC/CQ 8005 VOB?DB + UCM Integration over OSLC+ Korean
Character record type in CQ Schema

    Steps to reproduce
    a. in CQ, Create a new record and assign to a user
    b. in CC, try to set the record as current activity

    Set 1 working as designed.
Set 2 generates an error in both CC Explorer ? CTE.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available in ClearCase 8.0.0.8 and 8.0.1.1.
The Record type in the OSLC request URL has been converted to
UTF-8 so that this error will not occur.
