• DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS CM Batch processing does not
  allow
  restart from correct checkpoint when another userid runs restart
  job

Problem summary

• ****************************************************************
  * USERS AFFECTED: Users of the DB2 Administration Tool for     *
  *                 z/OS who use Change Management (CM) and      *
  *                 restart a change with a user ID that is      *
  *                 not the user ID that first ran the change.   *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When a change is restarted it starts    *
  *                      from the beginning of the work          *
  *                      statement list ( WSL ) instead of at    *
  *                      the point of failure from the previous  *
  *                      run attempt.                            *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  The change is not restarted at the point of failure.  One
  possible symptom is that the change starts running from the
  beginning.
  
  Another symptom of the problem is that the job output from
  restarting the change does not contain message ADB5198I /
  msgADB5198I:
  
  ADB5198I Change  xxxx was originally submitted by >userid<
  and is being restarted using its associated checkpoint entry.

• Problem has been resolved.
