  • SMUI TLLK TCB ABEND S0C4, MODULE=LLKSND24
ABEND0C4 in GJEULLK0 when IMS Sysplex Manager loops through
locks to add waiters to AWE spool block.  The spool block
overflows across an allocated page boundary.  R11 points to the
last valid block address before the page boundary.

Additional symptom of this issue:
Storage overflow causes S0C4 PIC11 with routine GJEHYDS in
control, when trying to access R14 storage. PMR 04525,79L,000

When there are too many lock waiter entries, storage overflow
occurs in the AWE spool block and history logging block.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Code was added to limit the # of waiter entries logged to
prevent the overflow condition. This also includes a fix for
an abend0c4 in GJEAOE0X during IMS initialization.
SM UI server address space needs to be recycled after applying
this fix.
