PM83156: SUPPORT TO RECOVER THE AREA THAT IS EXTENDED BY OAE

Error description

• The image copy taken prior to OAE cannot be used for a recover.
  And restarting OAE with shadow expansion causes an ABENDU3599.
  
  This is a forward fit of FPSP V1R1 APAR PM59411.    ABEND U3599
  
  Additional issue addressed: ABENDA78 RC10 when specifying
  RUNTYPE=TEST upon extend of SDEP and IOVF.

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR.         *

  Forward Fit APAR of FPSP V1R1 PM59411.
  . This APAR enables OAE to extend the image copy that is
  taken prior to OAE, along with the DEDB area, in order to
  recover the area that is extended by OAE using the extended
  image copy. OAE extends the image copy data set that is
  registered in the RECON data sets when the following conditions
  are met:
   .The ICEXTEND keyword is specified in SYSIN DD for shadow
    expansion or the ICEXTEND=YES keyword is specified in FPXIN DD
    for original expansion
   .The target extended image copy data set(s) FPXBIC01 DD or/and
    FPXBIC02 DD is specified in JCL
   .The area is extended for the SDEP portion only.
  . The differences between PM83156 and PM59411 are:
   .OAE issues CHANGE.IC command to update the last
    image record in the RECON data set with the
    information of the extended image copy data set.
    PM83156 made OAE to issue this command before
    the area expansion, owing to the convenience of
    recovery; and PM59411 made OAE to issue this
    command after the area expansion.
    Therefore the following restriction with PM59411
    is removed with PM83156:
    Important: To prevent DEDB areas from being
    destroyed, do not specify the time when OAE was
    in process as the recovery time.
   .PM83156 made OAE to output the following new
    messages for the original expansion:
    .FPX0330I: LISTCAT information of the temporary
     area data set after extending
    .FPX0331I: LISTCAT information of the area data
     set after extending
   .PM83156 changed FPX0297I to FPX0297W, and modified
    the message text for FPX0288I.
  
  . This APAR also fixed the code errors related to OAE restart.
