PM82881: XML FAILS VALIDATION: CONTENT OF ELEMENT XXXXX IS DIFFERENT FROM THE FIXED ATTRIBUTE VALUE IN THE ELEMENT SCHEMA DECLARATION

Error description

• XML data can fail validation with error 'Content of element
  xxxxxxx is different from the fixed attribute value in the
  elements schema declaration'.
  
  In the trace, we see an entry simlar to:
  
  TYPE X'0002' (Error (-1), "XMLParser: Input XML data is
  invalid."
  SAXParseException, Error [line: xx column: yy] Content of
  element 'xxxxxxx' is different from the fixed attribute
  value in the element's schema declaration.).

  Circumvention: Rename some elements in the XML Schema so there
  are no duplicates
  

Problem summary

• Users Affected:
  WebSphere Transformation Extender customers using Xerces parsing
  and having multiple elements being declared in the same scope
  
  Problem Description:
  
  Xerces parser is returning the follow error.
  
  SAXParseException, Error [line: xx column: yy] Content of
  element 'element' is different from the fixed attribute value in
  the element's schema declaration.
  
  As a result, WTX fails to validate valid XML file.
  
  Platforms Affected:
  All
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem is due to having 2 elements being declared in the
  same scope with different fixed values.
  XML4C code has been fixed.
