  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DB2 Object Comparison Tool for z/OS     *
  *                      performs DROP/CREATE of the LOB base    *
  *                      table instead of an ALTER when new      *
  *                      partitions are added to the table       *

  *                      This problem will happen when the       *
  *                      source and target table spaces are      *
  *                      classic table-controlled partitioned    *
  *                      table space, and the table under the    *
  *                      table space has LOB columns defined.    *
  *                      When the Compare is executed on DB2     *
  *                      10 New Function Mode (NFM), DB2         *
  *                      Object Comparison Tool incorrectly      *
  *                      detects the table spaces being          *
  *                      compared as range-partitioned           *
  *                      universal table spaces and processes    *
  *                      the LOB column as inline LOB            *
  *                      columns, which leads to DROP/CREATE     *
  *                      of the base table.                      *

  LOB base table instead of ALTER when new partitions are added
  to the table space.
  
  This problem will happen when the source and target table
  spaces are classic table-controlled partitioned table space,
  and the table under the table space has LOB columns defined.
  When the Compare is executed on DB2 10 New Function Mode (NFM),
  DB2 Object Comparison Tool incorrectly detects the table spaces
  being compared as range-partitioned universal table spaces and
  processes the LOB columns as inline LOB columns, which leads
  to DROP/CREATE of the base table.
