Error description
A 'Generated DBRC commands' issue was found during internal testing. The DBRC commands for the BACKOUT records registration which DFR writes out to DBRCOUTL and DBRCOUTV DD have invalid values for a DBD keyword. If the generated DBRC commands are run, the job will end with a return code of 12 and message: DSP0204I INVALID VALUE FOR PARAMETER DBD Keywords: MSGDSP0204I RC12

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All IMS DEDB FAST RECOVERY Version 2 * * Release 2 (FMID=H1J2220) users who specify * * a DBRCIN DD statement in a JCL under IMS * * V10, V11 or V12. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The DBRC commands for the BACKOUT * * records registration which DFR writes * * out to DBRCOUTL and DBRCOUTV DD have * * invalid values for a DBD keyword. * * When an UOR has more than eight * * database names that require backout, * * the DBRC command is outputted with one * * DBD keyword that is listed by all * * database names that require backout. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. * **************************************************************** A DBD optional keyword for NOTIFY or CHANGE.BKOUT command is used to identify databases having changes associated with an unit of recovery (UOR) that require backout. The number of the database names which can be specified by one DBD keyword is a maximum of eight. However, when the UOR has more than eight database names that require backout, DFR generates the DBRC command with one DBD keyword that is listed by all database names that require backout. If the generated DBRC commands are run, the job will end with a return code of 12 and a 'MSGDSP0204I INVALID VALUE FOR PARAMETER DBD' message.
Problem conclusion
The following modules have been modified. (x = A, B and C) * DFRNBKOx - When an UOR had more than eight database names that require backout, this module was changed so that the DBRC command may be divided and outputted for each DBD keyword that is listed by up to eight database names. *
