Error description
When a thread has encountered certain types of waits the In DB2 Wait Time ( In-DB2 Wait Tm ) value may exceed the In DB2 Elapsed Time ( In-DB2 Elap Tm ). The types of waits identified are Global Other L-Locks IFCID fields QWACAWTM QWACARNM Global Pageset/Partition P-Locks IFCID fields QWACAWTN QWACARNN -User logs on to OMEGAMON DB2 (OMPE) and selects H to access Near Term History (NTH) then B for Thread History. -On screen ZHAFL user sets the filter criteria, presses enter and confirms the criteria by pressing enter on screen ZHAFC. -User is presented with screen ZHARP for command HARP. On screen ZHARP the user can display thread data grouped in several different ways. The following chart lists the group by, the command issued and the screen name that includes IN-DB2 Wait Tm Group By Command Screen CUA Screen A-BY PLAN HAGP ZHAGPL KD2UPLND B-BY AUTHID HAGP ZHAGAU KD2UAUTD C-BY PLAN,AUTHID HAGP ZHAGPA KD2UPAUD D-BY AUTHID,PLAN HAGP ZHAGAP KD2UAUPD E-THREAD SUMMARY HATH see below F-BY SUBINTERVAL HARS ZHARS KD2USUBD G-BY CORRID HAGP ZHAGTX none Option E-THREAD SUMMARY issues command HATH and displays screen ZHATACT. In_DB2 Wait Tm is not displayed on the screen. However the screen offers the following options to display thread data that includes In-DB2 Wait Tm Option Command Screen CUA screen C-DB2 Time HATH ZHATTIM KD2UTSD2 D-Lock/Scan/Sort HATH ZHATLOC KD2UTSLC From the screens listed above, a user may zoom ( PF11 ) a particular thread to see detail. User will see screen ZHTACT. On ZHTACT user will see incorrout for Global Other L-Locks QWACAWTM QWACARNM Global Pageset/Partition P-Locks QWACAWTN QWACARNN This fix effects the data collection side of NTH.
