    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Cluster queue manager aliases can *
    * disappear even though they are in *
    *                      continuous use.                         *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When putting to a queue specifying a clustered queue manager
    alias as the target queue manager the REFRESH bit of that target
    CLQMGR is switched on, as are those of its subscriptions.
    However the refresh bits of the CLQ representing the queue
    manager alias should also be switched on, as well as those of
    its subscriptions. This is not happening however.
    The reason is that CSQMZLOO uses procedure MarkSubInUse to
    invoke CSQMZMAU in order to switch on the CLQ's refresh bits,
    however this procedure only runs once a day per MHND, and that
    has already run for the CLQMGR object.

Problem conclusion

  • CSQMZLOO has changed so that MarkSubInUse will accept the
    pointer to the cluster qmgr alias and set its refresh bit.
