APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When generating a DB2 Log Analysis Tool job for the Detail
Report only and miscellaneous filters were requested but
left blank, the JCL is generated with one line containing
hex zeros which causes a JCL error.

Local fix

  • There are three possible workarounds:
1). Manually edit the JCL and change the hex zeros to blanks.
2). Change the Misc Flags option to 'N' from 'Y'.
3). When on the miscellaneous filters panel, use PF3 to exit
    when no miscellaneous filters are entered instead of ENTER.
