APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Type x'67FF' records are assigned to "open" tracking result
set(s), generally the last transaction. This is not correct
in Fast Path because the transaction log records are not cut
until the transaction actually completes successfully.
To correct, transaction bounds checking for Fast Path should be
amended to exclude records (including 67FF) that do not apply.

This APAR will also contain the IMS PI V220 forward fit
    of APAR: PM80152

    ****************************************************************
This APAR is addressing the following issues:
1.Unrelated 67FF records appearing in Fast Path tracking result
set. 67FF records are assigned to "open" tracking result set(s),
generally the last transaction. This is not correct in Fast Path
because the transaction log records are not cut until the
    transaction actually completes successfully
2.When Tracking starts on a CEX SSL event record other required
SSL event records may be omitted. CEX transaction tracking
may not correctly register the start record for the result
set when the start event is a CEX SSL record.
3.Not able to filter on log record codes 5050, 5051 and 5052.
The list of supported filter codes does not include 5050, 5051
    and 5052
4.Support the extended CA01 Transaction Index record.
IMS PI does not currently support the extended CA01 Transaction
    Index record.
    5.Various tracking and filter/form enhancements.
Enhancements needed to improve the effectiveness of the tracking
    and filter/form functions.

Problem conclusion

  • The following changes have been made for the above issues:
1.Transaction bounds checking for Fast Path amended so as to
exclude records (including 67FF) that do not apply.
2.CEX tracking must register SSL event records as the start of
    the result set.
    (Includes retro-fit of IMS PI V230 PM79865)
3.Update the list of supported filter codes to include 5050,
    5051 and 5052
4.Provide support for the extended CA01 Transaction Index
    record.
5.Improve the tracking and filter/form functionality
