Error description
Users of the DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS who submit generated customization IBM Tools Customizer for z/OS (TCz) to specify HPU V4.2 can see errors in various Admin Tool jobstream scenarios that require HPU UNLOAD. . Problem is caused during TCz customization of the 3 HPU parms: . (Global) High Performance Unload (HPU) enabled (Global) HPU load library (Global) HPU parameter library . The problem is seen when the HPU parameter library field is populated with the HPU LOAD lib instead of the PARM lib. . The help panel for the HPU Parm lib is not correct. Help (PF1) leads one to think it is the SINZLINK lib. . PF1 shows: Subsystem default data set name for the High Performance Unload (HPU) SINZLINK parm library when HPU is enabled. This variable is ignored if HPU is not enabled. . Do not specify the HPU SINZLOAD data set, since this may cause an abend because of APF-authorization issues. . That is what is displayed when one hits PF1 in the field for (Global) HPU parameter library . . . . . The correct response should be SINZPARM lib. . Error messages from failing jobstreams appear similar to: . INZU224I IBM DB2 HIGH PERFORMANCE UNLOAD V4.2 INZU219I PTFLEVEL=HPU-420-BASE-VERSION-CD4 PLIB999S : PARMLIB SEVERE ERROR : MODULE = IPKBUILD RETURN CODE = 8 - REASON CODE = 0 CONTACT INFOTEL INZU366I UTILITY RETURN CODE 8 (REASON CODE 0x107a003) However, I also found that selecting HPU V420 from the launchpad generated error: PLIB002E : SYNTAX ERROR ON LINE 1 IN THE MEMBER INZDDSNB OF THE PARMLIB PLIB100I : PARMLIB = DB2HPU.V4R2.SINZPARM *** .
