Error description
With IBM Rational RequisiteWeb version 7.0.1.3: If there are any characters causing failure of CSV import, then ReqWeb should display user friendly message stating where the correction is required or what went wrong in process of importing CSV, so the user can correct thier CSV file accordingly. Especially since customers tend to import large CSV's. For example if any of the requirement tags in the CSV ends with a ' . ' (dot), the user gets an error message stating 'page cannot be displayed'.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: Users of RequisitePro client for the Web importing CSV files that contain trailing periods in the requirement tag column. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION : When importing a CSV file, RequisiteWeb maps the formatted contents of the file into requirements. When the requirement tag column includes characters that are not compliant with the format, RequisiteWeb filters them out and parses a standard tag. This operation fails when there are trailing periods in one of the requirement tags, causing an Error 500.
Problem conclusion
RequisiteWeb code is updated to properly handle trailing periods in the requirement tag column when importing CSV files. The fix for this APAR was included in RequisiteWeb version 7.1.2.10 and 7.1.3.6.
