Error description

  • Query information is displayed in Query window when you open XQE
logs from Dynamic Query Analyzer for the first time, but query
cannot be displayed from the second-time opening for the same
log.  It appears that DQA overwrites the following xml
(profilingLog-0.xml) having query information when opening XQE
logs for the first time.  - <c10>\logs\XQE\<Log for the specific
report running>\profilingLog-0.xml - <c10>\logs\XQE\<Log for the
specific report running>\subqueries\<xxx>\profilingLog-0.xml
FYI. Originally, the above xml log file is saved as UTF-8
format, but DQA overwrite it as Shift-JIS under environment (DQA
UI:Japanese + OS:Japanese). This wrong behavior causes all
Japanese characters to be garbled, as well.

Local fix

  • Make a backup for XQE log before you open it in DQA.
