APAR status

Error description

• When performing an install of IBM Rational ClearCase 8.0.0.4
  Change Management (CM) Server (Japanese language version), IBM
  Installation Manager (IM) attempts to fill the new IBM WebSphere
  Application Server (WAS) Profile location.  This fails with the
  error:
  
  'You have entered the path to an invalid version of WebSphere
  Application Server. Please point to a version of WAS that is at
  least version 7.0.0.0.'
  
  Step to reproduce:
  Install WebSphere Application Server.
  Start the ClearCase 8.0.0.4 install through Installation Manager
  and select to install CM server. During the setup, IM will
  attempt to find the location of the WebSphere but cannot.
  
  
  Workaround:
  None
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• The IBM Installation Manager panel was not displaying the
  correct version for non-English operating systems.
  

Problem conclusion

• A fix is available in ClearCase version 8.0.0.5
