Error description

• When migrating an IBM Rational Software Architect (RSA) 7.5
  project to IBM Rational Application Developer (RAD) 8.0 which is
  under IBM Rational ClearCase source control using IBM Rational
  ClearCase Remote Client (CCRC) plugin an error may be thrown
  reading, 'CRVS0134E The value for property 'child-map' is not in
  this proxy; it has not been set by the client nor requested from
  the server.'  Closing this error pop-up will allow the migration
  of the project to proceed and complete successfully.
  
  The cause of this error is under investigation, though it seems
  to be benign.  The migration log located in the workspace
  .metadata directory shows the migration completed successfully
  without any error.
  
  Steps to reproduce:
  1. Create a CCRC web view and load an RSA 7.5 project
  2. In the JavaEE perspective go to File ? Import ? General ?
  Existing Project into Workspace and browse into the view/VOB to
  select the project
  3. Go to Windows ? Show View ? Other... ? Migration ? Migration
  Results
  4. Click the green play button to Run migration
  5. Click Next through the prompts and OK to any checkouts.
  Finally click Finish

  Workarounds:
  1. Use the ClearCase SCM Adapter rather than CCRC to do the
  migration of project already under source control.
  2. Migrate projects outside of ClearCase source control.

  Using the IBM Rational ClearCase Remote Client (CCRC) plugin
  to migrate to Rational Application Developer (RAD) 8.x from
  Rational Software Architect (RSA) 7.5.x succeeds, but a
  blocking dialog showing a property error and requiring
  additional user intervention appears.
  This is due to an implicit deletion and obtainment of the
  file's parent. The parent does not have the child map
  available and causes an apparent error in the operation.
  

Problem conclusion

• This problem is fixed in ClearCase 7.1.2.9 and 8.0.0.5.
