PM72762: WMQ 710 ABEND138 CONNECTING TO A FULL CF STRUCTURE

Error description

• WMQ V710 ABEND138 occurs when MQ tries to connect to an
  application CF structure that's full.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Abend 138-090B0003 is issued when       *
  *                      connecting to a CF structure, followed  *
  *                      by abnormal queue manager termination   *
  *                      6C6 with REASON=00C510AB.               *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  During startup the queue manager connects to each application
  structure, obtaining an exclusive ENQ for each. If an error
  occurs during CSQECONN processing after it has successfully
  connected using IXLCONN (for example, if CSQECLHI fails to
  create a list header interest map due to the structure being
  full) the structure is disconnected but the ENQ is not released.
  
  The next time an attempt is made to connect to that structure,
  a request is made for the ENQ, however because it is already
  held the structure task will abend 138-090B0003.
  The abnormal termination of the structure task then causes the
  queue manager to terminate 6C6 with REASON=00C510AB.
  

Problem conclusion

• When CSQEOPEN is called to connect to an application structure
  during queue manager startup, it will now correctly release the
  ENQ it obtained if CSQECONN returns a failure return code after
  IXLCONN had connected to the structure.
