APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Error message "ARYS118E - Error obtaining HSM backup
    information." may occur if the Backup Token is truncated by HSM.
    The Token gets truncated during HSM reporting and then when we
    parse through the report after a backup looking for that
    particular token we do not find it and then issue the ARYS118E
    error.
    

Local fix

  • The backup can be resubmitted if this error is hit.
