Error description
Despite the CHLEV(ENABLED) set in the Qmgr EVENTs when : - a receiver channel ends normally : msg CSQX501I CSQ1 CSQXRESP Channel YYY.TO.ZZZ no longer active or - a receiver channel ends abruptly (msg CSQX208E) events messages are not generated in SYSTEM.ADMIN.CHANNEL.EVENT . Events msgs are not generated because rrxResponder is issuing an MQDISC, and setting pWork->hQm to MQHC_UNUSABLE_HCONN, before rriEvent is invoked by rriFreeSess to issue the event message. rriEvent detects that pWork->hQm is set to MQHC_UNUSABLE_HCONN and therefore does not issue an event message.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere MQ for z/OS Version 7 * * Release 1 Modification 0. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Event messages are not generated when a * * Receiver Channel ends. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** CHLEV(ENABLED) has been set so channel events are generated, but when a Receiver channel stops an event message is not generated. In CSQXRMRS a MQDISC is issued followed by a rriFreeSess to tidy up the connection, and one of the actions rriFreeSess does is to issue rriEvent to generate the event message. But the connection handle has been set to MQHC_UNUSABLE_HCONN after the MQDISC which will stop an event message being generated.
Problem conclusion
CSQXRMRS has been altered to issue the rriFreeSess before the MQDISC. 100Y CSQXRMRS
