Error description
PM48203 introduced IMS startup parameter RCLASS, which may be specified in either or both of DFSPBxxx, DFSDCxxx. If RCLASS is specified in both, the following information message is invalidly issued at IMS startup: DFS1921I - KEYWORD PARAMETER INVALID, CLASS = .. DFSIIDC0 subroutine PROCRCLA logic fails to move R6 past the RCLASS=value statement when a value for RCLASS has already been supplied in DFSPBxxx. This causes DFSIIDC0 keyword scanning logic to be entered a 2nd time for keyword=value "CLASS=xxx' (i.e. one byte forward from the previous successful keyword scan), which results in keyword not found and DFS1921I. .. Additional search words: RGRCLASS IDCRCLAS IDCNXTKW IDCSCAN IMSV13COEX/K IMSV12COEX/K
Local fix
None. Ignore the message. IMS start up continues normally using the RCLASS value specified in DFSPBxxx, as documented.
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All IMS V11 users of RCLASS in proclib * * member DFSDCxxx. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DFS1921I - KEYWORD PARAMETER INVALID, * * CLASS = * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: INSTALL CORRECTIVE SERVICE FOR APAR/PTF * **************************************************************** When RCLASS has been specified in the DFSPBxxx proclib member or in PARM1/PARM2 then the code in module DFSIIDC0 will find it and will not override it. But it failed to skip the keyword and parameter so the byte after RCLASS gets treated as a new keyword which leads to: DFS1921I - KEYWORD PARAMETER INVALID, CLASS =
Problem conclusion
GEN: KEYWORDS: *** END IMS KEYWORDS *** Code has been moved in module DFSIIDC0 to make sure that the keyword/parameter has been skipped if it has been defined in DFSPBxxx proclib member.
