Error description

• Error message "CKZ78203E Subtask 01, DATASET SNAP,
  RC=X'00000008, RS=X'00000004' may occur when using EMCAPI during
  the copy process.  The problem stems from the fact that the
  error is returned not just in a message but in the API call
  itself. Any API error (a 4 in this case) results in termination
  of the copy. The code will be changed to compare the API return
  with MAX-COPY-RC value and if not exceeded, copies will be
  allowed to continue. To allow copies to continue if this error
  is encountered, set MAX-COPY-RC=4 and MAX-RC=4.
  

Local fix

• Correct the EMC copy environment to eliminate API return codes
  that exceed zero.
