• Report on SAP BW with BEx variables.  Drill definition pass
  level attribute.  Same attribute is involved in a calculation
  such as substring() in the report query.  When running the
  report, upon drillthrough, none of the values are passed to the
  child report.??Either removing the calculation from the report
  or change drill definition to use the level would work.
