    Workaround:  Set to a view prior to executing updatedb OR do not
    execute updatedb within a view extended path

    A ClearCase user on Linux could encounter Linux kernel
    panics in the kmem_ptr_validate kernel function.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This problem is fixed in The 7.1.2.09 and 8.0.0.05 versions
    of ClearCase.
