    ****************************************************************
    ABEND04E RC00E2000F at DSNXEFB.DSNSVSFB offset 0858 or
    memory overlay could occur when an SQL statement references
    a constant which is resolved as DECFLOAT datatype.

    The following example could shows a memory overlay.

    CREATE TABLE PM69992(C1 DECFLOAT, C2 INTEGER);
    SELECT C1 + 1, C2 FROM PM69992;
    DB2 is not handled the DECFLOAT constant buffer correctly,
    it causes memory overlay.

Problem conclusion

  • DB2 is updated to handle the DECFLOAT constant correctly.
    Additional Keywords: SQLDECFLOAT
