Error description

  • This APAR addresses these IMS Connect Extensions problems:
    1. The ISPF dialog and batch utilities do not support a
    transaction beginning with a numeric character. INVALID NAME is
    received.  This is a valid transaction code that should be
    allowed.
    
    2. Sample JCL for IVP cases 6 thru 9 are missing from SAMPLIB.
    
    3. New ROUTE command to allow a datastore to be logically
    suspended and resumed.
    
    4. The CEX print utility output contains N/A in the TSKID field
    and the event Key is incorrect.

Problem conclusion

  • The following changes have been made for the above issues:
    1. Corrected the ISPF dialog and batch utilities to allow
    resource names to begin with a numeric character confirming
    to the IMS naming rules.
    2. Provided sample JCL for IVP cases 6 thru 9 in SAMPLIB
