PM69217: MAP RETURN CODE OF 21 OBSERVED WHEN INPUT DATA IS LARGER THAN THE PAGE SIZE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If an input object within a map is larger than the page size
  defined for the map, a return code of 21 (Input valid but
  unknown data found) is generated.  The map may fail to properly
  identify the input data resulting in unpredictable map output.
  The input object is not the entire data, but an individual
  object read in by the map as defined within a type tree.
  

Local fix

  Circumvention: Increase the page size of the map to be larger
  than an individual input object.
  

Problem summary

  WebSphere Transformation Extender customers using 8.4.0.3
  service pack who observe the unexpected input validation error
  that depends on the page size

  Product was not seeing correct data when validating objects
  larger than a page.

Problem conclusion

• The code that moves some of the data from the end of the page to
  the beginning and then fills the remaining page with new data,
  was incorrect.  It has now been corrected.
