PM68639: Clicking on Manage Reports button as CQ no admin user throws error:Could not get the Rational Report Management Server URL

Error description

  • After configuring and deploying Report Launcher for ClearQuest
    server, clicking on the button Manage Reports when logging on CQ
    as non-admin user, the following error is thrown in any browser
    vendor/version:
    'Could not get the Rational Report Management Server URL'
    
    Steps to reproduce:
    1- Install, configure and deploy Report Launcher on CQ v.
    8.0.0.3 as described in the info center:

    2- Activate the Manage Reports button from CQ Site
    Administration menu as described here:

    3- Login to CQWeb as admin user, click on Manage Reports button,
    the ClearQuest Reporting windows shows up as expected.
    4- Login to CQWeb as non-admin user, ex. 'user', an error
    message pops up; 'Could not get the Rational Report Management
    Server URL' and the expected window is not loaded.

    This was working as fine till 8.0.0.2.

    Reports button receive the following error message "Could

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available in ClearQuest 7.1.2.8 and 8.0.0.4.
