PM68443: ZRLOG PANEL "GROUP ATTACH" BLANKING WITH DATASHARINGGROUP=Y SET

Obtain the fix for this APAR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Even though the DB2 subsystem is defined as a member of a data
  sharing group (DATASHARINGGROUP=Y  in OMPEssid) the field "Group
  Attach" is still blank in panel ZRLOG.
  

Local fix

• Contact L2/L3 for a possible workaround.

  PROBLEM SUMMARY:
  For a data sharing group (DSG) two or more members are
  configured to reside on the same LPAR and at least one is
  declared in parmlib member IEFSSNxx without group attach name.
  When the PE Server subtask is configured to monitor two or more
  members of the DSG on the same LPAR and a member without
  specified group attach name is the last entry in the list of DB2
  subsystems to be monitored in the configuration member OMPEMSTS
  or if it is automatically detected because option AUTODETECT=Y
  is specified, PE Server subtask tries to retrieve the group
  attach name from this member and gets blanks which are then
  stored for display in the classic panel ZRLOG.
  
  PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
  The code has been corrected to only store group attach names for
  display in ZRLOG which are not blank. In case no group attach
  name is specified at all for DB2 subsystems running on the same
  LPAR as the PE Server subtask or if only a member declared in
  IEFSSNxx without group attach name is monitored, the group
  attach name remains blank in the classic panel ZRLOG.
