  * The practice of DIMENSIONDELETEALLELEMENTS is common, and in *
  * the context of this testcase you can see that leaving the    *
  * .sub files alone has the effect of remembering which         *
  * elements had been inserted into them.  We retain the C       *
  * element in the in-memory image of the subset, while the      *
  * presence of C in the .sub file is possible -- if C is in     *
  * fact deleted forever from the dimension the .sub file will   *
  * reflect this after reloading it.  However, often             *
  * DimensionDeleteAllElements is used to delete and recreate    *
  * dimensions ... if we deleted the C element from the .sub     *
  * file immediately, customers would permanently lose elements  *
  * that right now survive the process of emptying and largely   *
  * recreating dimensions.                                       *
