PM64983: PROVIDE AN OPTION IN DB2START TO STOP WAITING IF DB2 TERMINATES DURING STARTUP

APAR status

Error description

• Provide an option in DB2START to stop waiting if DB2 terminates
  during startup.
  If the started DB2 terminates before becoming active, DB2START
  will continue waiting until the wait time limit expires.  If the
  wait time is long it can take some time before DB2START ends
  with a return code to indicate the DB2 start failed.
  Add an option so that DB2START can end with a return code when
  DB2 terminates before becoming active rather than wait for the
  time limit to expire.
